Terms of service

1. Who we are

The Vector trading journal is provided by Vector Journal (“Vector”, “we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@myvectorjournal.com.

2. What Vector is — and is not

Vector is a journal and analytics tool for your own trading. It records the trades you log, sync or import, and calculates statistics about them.

• It is not investment advice. Nothing in Vector — including its statistics, scores, simulations and anything written by its AI features — is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything, or a promise about future results.
• It is not a broker. Vector does not hold money, place orders or manage accounts. It cannot place, change or close a trade on your behalf.
• Trading carries a high risk of loss. Please read our risk disclosure.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement.
• Give us an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password to yourself.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
• One person per account. Accounts are not to be shared or resold.

4. Free trial, plans and payment

• New accounts get a free trial of the Essential plan for 14 days. No payment details are needed for the trial, and you are not charged when it ends.
• After the trial, continued use needs a paid plan. Plans are billed monthly, in advance, in US dollars. Prices and what each plan includes are shown on our pricing page.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase, and Paddle adds sales tax or VAT where it applies.
• Your plan renews each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings; your plan then runs to the end of the month you have paid for and does not renew.
• If you move to a higher plan, the difference for the rest of the billing month is charged straight away. If you move to a lower plan, nothing you have logged is deleted, but you cannot add more than the lower plan allows.
• We may change our prices. A change will not affect the month you have already paid for, and we will tell you before it applies to you.
• Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

5. AI features

• Some plans include AI features, measured in monthly credits. Unused credits do not carry over to the next month, and credits have no cash value.
• AI answers are written by a machine-learning model from the data in your journal. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything that matters to you, and do not treat any of it as financial advice.
• When you use an AI feature, the parts of your journal it needs are sent to our AI provider to produce the answer, as our privacy policy explains.

6. Broker connections

• Broker sync is optional. Auto sync uses a read-only “investor” password, and the Expert Advisor uses a key we issue. Never give us, or enter anywhere in Vector, a password that can trade.
• Auto sync is provided through MetaApi, a third-party service that runs the MetaTrader terminal. Your broker's and your prop firm's own rules still apply to you; it is your responsibility to check that they allow a read-only connection before you make one.
• Synced and imported trades are only as accurate as the data your broker provides. We are not responsible for errors in that data.

7. Your data

• Everything you put into Vector — trades, notes, journal entries, screenshots and the rest — stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only so that we can run Vector for you.
• Only upload material you have the right to use. Screenshots of charts should come from tools whose terms allow you to keep them.
• You can export your trades from the Trades page, and delete your data from Settings, at any time.
• Nothing you log is shown to anyone else unless you share it. When you post in a community, its members can see what you post; when you share a trade by link, anyone with the link can see that card until you turn the link off. You are responsible for what you share, and a trade card is a record of your own trading, not advice to anyone.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not:

• use Vector for anything unlawful, or to store content that is unlawful or harmful;
• try to get into accounts or data that are not yours, or to test, probe or break our security;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or scrape it with automated tools;
• overload the service or interfere with other people using it, including by abusing the AI features;
• use a community to harass anyone or to post other people's personal information. A community's owner and admins can remove messages and members, and we may too.

9. The service

• We work to keep Vector available and your data safe, but we cannot promise the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.
• We improve Vector continually, which means features can change. Features marked “coming soon” are plans, not commitments, until they ship.

10. Liability

Vector is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Vector, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Vector and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Vector after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Law

If you are a consumer, you keep any protections the law of your own country gives you.
